Picking up a Linux+ book would be another good way to start, even if you aren't interested in the certification. -
phantasm Member Posts: 995I would agree with the above mentioned information and also would recommend installing Gentoo from the handbook. This attempt is a head first plunge into the world of Linux and may or may not work on your first attempt.

I still use it to reference things I forgot (exact command to add an admin account into mysql for example). -
120nm4n Member Posts: 116I found that the best way to learn about linux (at least for me) was to set a target and shoot for it. Linux is too broad for a single tutorial. There are tutorials for almost anything linux-related on the web, and when you're working towards something, the tutorials will usually teach you something new along the way. I highly recommend howtoforge.com, as they have a lot of very detailed walkthroughs. Hope this helps!WIP: MCITP: EA
