Encoding - Grouping Bits
nezzy456
Hi Guys,
I have confused myself and was wondering if anyone could set me right please.
Basically, its the process of code symbols and grouping bits. (Using 4B/5B as the example)
According to the material the 4B code 0000 means 5B symbol 11110, however what is confusing me is what if my computer wants to send the a bit stream which has 0000 in it, will the recieving device interpret this as 0000 or 11110???
How does it know what its pure data or if its one of these code bits/ symbols.
I hope this is enough info for you to help if not please as and I will try to make it clearer.
Thanks
