Test scheduled

I recently scheduled both tests OS & Core next week 23d and the 24th.

I feel pretty good about the OS part but am having problems trying to remember the I/O addresses for the core and also stuff about scsi and raid.

any suggestions

Just memorize them. Those things are only a small part of the exam, but one question can make the difference.

I had trouble memorizing the IRQ's, I/O's too...and had some difficulty recalling them. hehe Remember those IRQ's, DMA's, I/O's, and your networking technologies!

For SCSI and RAID I just read the chapter or sections about them over and over. Then put the diff ones on flash cards --then recalled and checked over and over.

(by this time you'd have taken the tests?)

Well I made a little pattern that helped me remember the irqs an i/os but the ironic thing was I only rember having only one question about this on my linear Core test.

I memorized all the DMA channels, IRQs, and I/O Address assignments. But I only ran into one question related to IRQs on my Core Exam and it didn't even ask about specific IRQs, just one of those 'which device uses IRQs?' questions.

I ran into a LOT of questions related to newer networking stuff including gigabyte ehternet and FIDDI.

Of course no two exams are alike so your best bet is to know it all!
