ESX 3.5 Updates

We run an ESX 3.5 Update 2 server at work which hosts our primary domain controller and our e-mail servers. I've noticed in the list of available updates, our ESX server is not complaint because ESX 3.5 update 1 is not installed. However, we are running update 2! Is it safe to allow ESX Update to install update 1? Will this break anything? This seems really strange, heh.

very strange..u can always contact their customer support they are very helpful.

It's a known issue, see VMware KB article 1006383. ESX updates are cumulative.

Thank you very much. I tried using some Google-fu but couldn't come up with anything conclusive
