wirelss question
MikeO5422
okay i have received conflicting answers from various study sources...but first i was told this
802.11g is compatible with 802.11b and 802.11. then i was told from the other source that 802.11g is compatible with 802.11b and 802.11a. This is starting to confuse me. I believe that 802.11g, 802.11b, and 802.11 are the three that are compatible is this correct?

802.11b and 802.11g both use the 2.4ghz radio and 802.11a uses the 5ghz radio
So 802.11a is not compatible.

and the correct answer according to the software is 802.11a and 802.11b LIES I TELL YOU!

I find these sorts of errors in the Sybex books here and there too. The fact you cought it means you get the concept, so give yourself a pat on the back and destroy that exam!
