XP rollback
I have been asked how to rollback XP to it's prior state before an application install. Apparently you can do this will a date. I assume this is something to do with reloading the previous profile or 'last known good' and what have you. Any of you folks done this? Im told the application partly installed and can't be removed with good old add/remove programs.

System Restore which is on by default:

And just an FYI: This will NOT remove user's data but WILL revert settings including registry, program installs, OS tweaks, etc...“For success, attitude is equally as important as ability.” - Harry F. Banks -

That's great Royal thanks a lot. I followed the link and I can see the date selection thing that was mentioned to me. I think I will advise that F8 and last known good is tried first. If that fails try the system restore thing.
