Can packter tracer actually use your cable connection at your home to connect to the simulated router so you can simulate real time wan connections?

    No. In packet ace they have WAN connection simulators. When you downloaded PT, did you get the tutorials as well? If not go back and download them, they help a lot.

    ok thanks,. they came with the tutorials i just have to figure out how to work them, i just see a bunch of pre set up labs.
