I've had two interviews, one formal and one just over the phone to ask questions and see what I was interested in. The formal one was more of a courtesy interview as there wasn't a position open at this time. But in both cases they looked at my resume and said that based of my courses of study I wouldn't enjoy the jobs they might have or have open. I am having an issue truly understanding people saying this. While on one hand I understand that they are looking at perhaps how happy I would be in the position, the only way to get a position where I want in the company would be to start at the position they don't believe I would want. I want to eventually get into security and I know that no one just hires people with little experience into their security department. Gotta start at the bottom first. I guess I also understand that they wouldn't pay me what I like...just venting I guess...
