Pin count conflict between techexams & Mike Meyers
Im using the techexams and mike meyers passport to study and found a conflict;
Techexams (techexams.net/technotes/cpu_sockets.shtml) says that the K5 and K6 processor have 321 pins.
Mike Meyers Passport (page 80) states "AMD K6 series of processors had a 296-pin PGA form factor" also "The K5 processor had a 296-pn PGA and used a socket 7".

I quadruple-checked all the numbers when I wrote those notes, and a quick search at google.com comes up with the following for example:

and many others...
However, this:
"the K5 and K6 processor have 321 pins." is not what I wrote in the TechNotes. The TechNotes shows a list of sockets, the CPUs that go in it, and the number of pins... for the socket. A particular CPU may not use all those pins.
Don't worry about these details though, you really don't need to know the amount of pins for every type of CPU for the exam. -

Thanks. Someone over at alt.certification.a-plus (newsgroup) made a reply that he got a question about the number of pins on an AMD processor. I wasnt sure.
