question about cisco 1751-V flash

Hi,

Was playing with this router and have a few questions:

here is the show ver output

=================
32K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
16384K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)
=================

so it looks like I only have 16mb of flash, but I read that

"The Cisco 1751 router ships with 32 MB of Flash memory and is not upgradeable. "

I took it apart and I don't see any place to add or remove flash. any ideas?

    I see

    2 ports for PVDM, which i think is some voice modules
    1 port for P4VPN, which must be a vpn module
    1 U26 DRAM, which is system memory

    Looks like these routers have fixed flash configuration. I believe they are permanently soldered on to the board. Intel E28F128 J3A150. Probably can be upgrade if rework and upgrade the chip.

    Seems like the older version of IOS didn't detect the 32mb of flash. note that it also didn't detect the processor fully as well...

    either way, problem solved, I'm happy.
