Passed
I just passed the Network + test with a 780. It was my first try.
What helped me pass? A few months before, I read the CCENT book for a Cisco cert. I failed twice and after a couple months of feeling lame I decided to work my way up from Network+
I read the Sybex Network+ study guide 4rth edition and took the practice tests included.
I felt that this book really helped me learn what I needed to understand and learn from the practice exams, and ultimately pass the test.
However, in retrospect, the fact that I had already read a more advanced networking book may have really helped me understand the material better and get through it faster than if I had only read the sybex book. but I do think the sybex book alone would have been adequite.
A+ passed
Network+ passed
MCP 70-270 passed
on to MCP 70-290 and 70-291 for my MCSA and then, if I get that far, Security+.
I don't want to plan any farther ahead until I reach that goal, but mcse security would be a nice title

Sounds like you've got your cert-future planned out pretty well. Are you planning on returning to the Cisco studies after you've done your stint with CompTIA and Microsoft?

Let it never be said that I didn't do the very least I could do.
Thanks, I think I will stick with that plan becuase I'm only two tests away from MCSA, then Security+ for good measure. If I make it that far, I think I'll try CCNA before finishing MCSE track but I'm not for sure.
