How to utilise multiple bginfo scripts

Hi all

Ive been tasked with installing a server as a domain controller into our domain, simple enough, however the people im installing the server for are kind of working under a different company name.

As part of the domain controller install i need to somehow get those users to logon using a different BGINFO script using a different company logo.

Im thinking that I need to create a new "desktop.bgi" and apply it using a new bginfo.vbs script.
We can specify that this new DC is contained within its own site, but im struggling to work out who gets what script. Is it a permissions thing on the bginfo.vbs script or?

Im aware that a group policy object applied at the domain is calling the bginfo.exe script, can i just create an OU for "OTHERCOMPANY", and somehow block the policy at the domain level and apply my new script?

Any pointers would be great. Cheers!

Can you just remove the bginfo script from the domain level and place it at the site level?

apologies ive just re-read what i put and its not clear. icon_redface.gif

What i meant is, the policy applied at the domain for everyone needs to stay in place, however we have a department who goes by a different name. they need to be added to the domain for security and control purposes, but they need a different logo on their desktop background. There are too many machines to do this manually unfortunately.

Is there a way to have 2 bginfo.vbs scripts running, but one script applies to the whole domain, and one applies to just one group of users, or site ( will be configured as its own site in sites and services)

    cheers

Can't you just put the second set of employees into a new OU and link a new GPO with the script to them? They will have the settings from the default domain policy applied, but then the OU policy should override those settings.
