I was wondering what the loopback address is for IPv6.

Per my Cisco book. "The IPv6 loopback address is 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1 or is simply represented by ::1. The IPv6 loopback address cannot be assigned to a physical interface and the IPv6 routers do not forward packets that have the IPv6 loopback address as their source or destination address."
