port channel numbering
I have noticed that in the cisco BCMSN lab book and through my own expierementation that the port channel group numbers don't have to match on each switch.
For example:
switch A has ports fast eth 0/1 and 0/2
connected
to
swtich B ports fast eth 0/1 and 0/2
A trunk has been created.
And I was able to get ether channel working by using:
swtich A:
channel-group 1 mode desirable
and
switch B:
channel-group 5 mode desirable
And the ether channel is established.... So am I correct in assuming that the group numbers are only for local use and don't have to match on both devices?

encrypt the encryption, never mind my brain hurts.
