getting an NFS share to show up in virtual center

livenliven Member Posts: 918
Ok I have an esx server and I can mount my NFS share (on a different) server via the command line.

But I can't see the nfs share in virtual center... Do I need to run any specific configuration commands to make it available to VMware/ESX/virtual center?

Thanks

    You have to add the NFS share through the Virtual Center.

    ESX Server ->Configuration ->Storage ->Add Storage ->Select NFS -> Enter server and path ->Finish

    You should have the NFS store in the Storage area. Make sure if you are using HA/Vmotion that you add the NFS to all Hosts.

    This is what I was looking for. I believe I was performing the steps that you outlined above, but I will try them again and if they don't work I will report back.

    Thanks!
