Quick Static IP question...

My networking is still, VERY lacking...

My last 2 companies had a static IP list set aside...

Is there a way to find out if this company (the sys admin has no idea) has set aside any statics? (They outsource their networking currently.)

They're using a SonicWall as well...

Thanks,
-Fade

Find the DHCP server, look fot scopes and anything outside those scopes would be a candidate for a static address.
The only easy day was yesterday!

At my old company I used to be able to manage active directory from my desktop.

I am a domain admin here, but do not have the option to do so on my desktop. Is there something on my profile I need to check/add?

Install adminpak from the Server disk onto your workstation and that will give you the administrative server tools (Active Directory Users & Computers, etc).

just type adminpak.msi into google, it'll be like the first hit

*edit* if you're on vista you'll have to do some extra stuff to get it working
