Media state disconnected
If a user gets a "media state disconnected" error on his LAN connection but not with a different machine on the same cable and jack and he doesn't get the error from other jacks, what could the problem be?
This rules out the NIC, cable, and jack.
Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Try doing the following (Doesn't work for me, but is worth a shot)
1. Uninstall the network adapter.
2. Restart your computer.
3. Let the computer reinstall the network adapter.
4. Try and connect to a network again.
