default decrement values for HSRP int tracking
Ok I am pretty sure I am reading this correctly (cisco.com)
but if you don't specify a decrement value for an interface you are tracking when using
HSRP the default is 10
Correct????
Thanks in advance techexamers.

lildeezul Member Posts: 404correct. the Defualt is to decrease the priority with 10. This can cause a problem if the priority is larger than 10 of the standbye's router priorty.. watch out for that when doing configuring it.NHSCA National All-American Wrestler 135lb

lildeezul Member Posts: 404if you want confirmation.. this would be a great time to lab it up, and set a port for interface tracking, shut that port down, and do a show standbye, it should decrease the priority by 10, and the standbye should become the active...
