ccme max ephone config

Alright, so I know that you need to run the max ephone command in call manager express to specify the number of phones you want to configure, but it seems that you need to configure this number based on the size of your ccme feature licenses. Since I bought a cheap 1760 off of ebay with ccme preloaded, what command shows the number of phones supported via ccme feature license.

You license as many phones as you need -- up to the limit supported by your hardware.

To find out how many phones you could support, check out the Cisco Unified CME and Cisco IOS Software Version Compatibility Matrix and follow the Version Specification Link for your IOS/CME Version. Then find the Supported Platforms and Memory Specifications table for the SCCP IP Phones or SIP IP Phones.

A 1760 running CME 4.0 (and sufficient memory) could support up to 24 phones.
