hello... I'm currently studying for the Network+ exam and I wanted some advice.... the focus of the exam seems to be the TCP/IP suite... I am already intimately familiar w/ it after taking a CCNA class... how important is it to know the other routable protocols such as IPX/SPX and Appletalk? I have very limited knowledge of them (Ipx/spx - Novell, Appletalk - Mac... ipx connectionless/spx connection oriented... Appletalk networks divided into zones... etc) Will info like that be enough or will i need to get more in depth?

thx

I would say a basic knowledge of Appletalk, and moderate for IPX/SPX. I received mostly TCP/IP on my exam. TCP/IP is the protocol in networking right now. The more you know of it and OSI, the better you will be.
i remain, he who remains to be....
