It's a very respected school in the tri-state area and it doesn't cost a fortune, especially for in state residents like yourself. It's a bargain even if you add the cost of living on campus (which you don't need). I didn't go there, but I personally know several Stony Brook graduates who are doing exceptionally well.
In addition, don't focus too much on the major (general "Computer Science" vs. very specific "Networking"). Undergraduate classes is the last place you should be looking for in-depth technical knowledge.Currently Studying For: Nothing (cert-wise, anyway)
Next Up: Security+, 291?
Enrolled in Masters program: CS 2011 expected completion
