Cisco 6500 Series

I saw a 6500 chassis for $75 at my local state surplus yesterday and was wondering what they're worth (I think it was a 6509). I have no intention of buying it, for many reasons, not the least of which is it's big. Just curious.

They have dropped from around $1000 last year to about $400 now - with power supplies. Shipping on an empty chassis is around $75-100

But it should have the fan tray!! Sometimes it would be cheaper to buy another empty chassis (with fan tray) on eBay than pay the $400+ for a replacement fan tray off eBay icon_lol.gif

i seen the chassis go pretty cheap for the 6500 series, but the individual supervisor engines, and other line slots are really expensive.

SUP-1A go for peanuts on eBay

SUP-2 have dropped to around/under $500 (each :D) if you shop

And I've seen SUP-720 under $5000 (a couple of times).

Now the Firewall Service Modules -- those I've never seen for under $20,000 on eBay icon_eek.gif

Yeah the chassis have come down now that the "65xx-E" series are out, they are still going to be expensive.
The only easy day was yesterday!
