2501 - ethernet 0 duplex question

Hey All,
I ran into an interesting issue this morning when trying out CDP. One of my switches was telling me (via CDP) that one of my routers is running at half duplex on ethernet 0.
So I logged on to the 2501, went to config-if, and tried "duplex full".
No luck, it tells me "this command is not supported for ethernet 0."
I am using a Centrecom AUI media transceiver connected to my 10/100 (auto neg) Verizon router/switch. I logged into the Verizon router/switch and could not find a way to view the speed and duplex results for each port to confirm the settings.
Any insight would be appreciated, I knew I would be limited to 10Mb, but I figured I would get full duplex from the 10 Base T connection.

Thanks. I guess I thought in my head that any device that was table of 10 Base T was capable of either duplex mode. (because in my career it's all been 100 Base TX which can be either duplex, or 10 Base T devices that were capable of either.
Thanks for the info!

Thanks,

drew2000 Member Posts: 290Thanks for the tip. Actually everything is communicating fine, so I'll stick with my setup for now. I was just trying to understand the reason for the half duplex and have a little fun troubleshooting with it.
