ESD Question?
It saids in the Mike Meyers A+ book that ESD occurs when the weather is cold and dry.
Does he mean when its cold and dry in the room where the computers are or does he mean outside like winter when the heat is on where the computers are?
Thank you

STexams Member Posts: 77 ■■□□□□□□□□Anytime humidity is low, like here in Las Vegas, static is a problem. The cooler the temperature, the worse it gets. This can occur more in the winter when the temp outside is cold and the humidity is down. Under the A/C, static thrives pretty good as well. Our worst time here is in winter when it is cool and the humidity is way down. If you get a question about static, low humidity and cool temperatures are the corredt answers and that can be outside temp or inside, it doesn't matter.
