Replacing motherboard in a laptop?
The A+ Core Tech Notes on this site say that CompTia will not test you on replacing units in a portable. Is that really true? I'm wondering because of a question I've seen in various places that has different correct answers given. Say you need to replace the motherboard in a laptop. Do you need to get exactly the same make and model or just the same make and make sure from the manufacturer that the board you want to replace with is compatible? I've seen both given as correct and I'm wondering which answer CompTia would want.
