Basic VoIP QoS

Hi all,
I need to configure basic Layer 2 QoS for some phones at work. The situation is as follows:
2950 Switches running the standard image.
Layer 3 device management is outsourced, so I only need to configure the 2950's.
The VoIP phones are not in a seperate VLAN and my boss has said he doesn't want them in a serpate VLAN.
IP Phones will be plugged directly into the switch and in some cases have a PC attached to their mini-switch.
The IP Phones aren't Cisco
Is this as simple as setting:
mls qos cos 7
on the relevent interface?
How does this tie-in with DSCP values?
If a PC is attached to the VoIP phone, how will its traffic be treated?
Thanks in advance.
