How to create Roaming Profiles
ciscoboy
I am trying to set up roaming profiles on Win2k server, but it never works. When I login from XP, I don't get an error that a profile doesn't exist, but on the server the folder is empty. What am I doning wrong?

Set the profile properties on the user to point to a UNC ex \\yourserver\yourshare\yourusername
The next time you logon, logoff the profile will be dumped to the share. If you have messed with GP make sure to set "Full Control" permission to the folder you are using.
Here's how we do them at work.
Create a top level share say usr_profs$ as the share name, set it to Everyone Full Control Share and NTFS permissions. Then point the user's profile to \\servername\usr_profs$\yourusername. Do not create the folder, it will create it.
It will then create the folder once you logooff and **** the profile to that location. The permission will be changed to "admins" full control, user full control, system full control.
