How in the hell can i get rid of MUP.SYS

I cannot boot into safe mode b/c it stops at this driver everytime....I've looked around on the internet for possible solutions and one of them said that i should put the cd in and run the repair option, but that resulted in a fatal and a wrecked system, so i reformatted and damn it the thing doesnt come up again, i've tried deleting it but as soon as i do it reappears??? Has anyone else had this problem?

Apparently, it's common issue, as I just saw on a few other older boards....it's not freezing on mup.sys, it freezes on the file after that. It's generally caused by bad video drivers, or a mobo issue. You could try removing everything but the core essentials from your box, and then see what causes it to freeze.
