DHCP Server and Virtual PC 2007
jscimeca715
Hi guys, I have a quick question for you. I've currently got a virtual machine running Windows Server 2003 with a DHCP server installed. I've also got a XP vm and was trying to use DHCP to get ip information. Everything is set up correctly, but I wasn't able to contact DHCP. Any ideas? I'm assuming I'm setting something up in Virtual PC 2007 incorrectly but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have basic connectivity between the VMs? Can you access shared folders, ping the other, etc.?
What are you network settings for each VM?

I can access the vm's fine. I used the XP comp to connect to the 2003 domain but only after I set everything statically.

Did you authorize your DHCP server? If you use Network Monitor or WireShark, do you see DHCP traffic from the client on your server?
