File X...not on TV !in my C: root!

I found a file located in my C: partition named gendel32....in the properties shows me :

Created: 15. juli 2004, 02:23:07

Modified: 12. september 2003, 00:00:00 (!!!XP wasn't installed yet!?? on my pc on that time,I ran an XP home edition and last month I have performed a clean installation of XP Professional on my pc)

I scan the file with 3-4 antivirus tools with no "infected" results and with SpywareBlaster....so I'm aking myself what is this file?

On 15.juli I was working so not using my pc...the pc was turn off!?

Anyone which knows more about this litlle mystic file?

First, open the task manager, go to processes, and lok for anything you don't recognize. End those processes, and delete the file again. Then search the registry for the file, delete all instances of it. Then update, and run ad-aware and/or spyblaster. Also, check your add/remove programs as well. The file Gendel32 is part of a program called Crackbar2003. You never saw it install itself. If it happens again, either raise your security level, or choose websites to visit more carefully.
