Setting up a virtual Lab. Some Questions.

Hi,
I want to setup a virtual network lab to experiment the following topics-
* RAID
* Routing (is there any way to emulate CISCO devices to connect between multiple virtual machine?)
And seek suggestion which one is the best choice for me-
* VMWare player
or
* VMWare server
or
* Microsoft Virtual PC
Please let me know.

Run a Linux or Windows Server VM and attach lots of virtual disks. Run OpenFiler if you want to experiment with iSCSI.saimon2000bd wrote: »* RAID
Dynamips/GNS3 can emulate some lower end Cisco routers. Obtaining and using the IOS images you need for the emulator to work however isn't legal. You can use a Linux VM to do routing.

ESXi or Hyper-V if you can dedicate a machine to running it. -
