Improving Memory / Study Tips
Oops. Sorry but I accidentally posted before adding content
Anyway, I was just looking for sites that discussed techniques for memory retention. I think that the tips provided within the site at the following URL could prove to be very useful. It covers stuff like what is often touched on at the end of most study guide texts. Techniques like that used to remember all the OSI layers.

I unfortunately couldn't use any of the techniques to remember numeric data such as UARTS.

- Please - Physical (Layer 1)
- Do - Data-Link (Layer 2)
- Not - Network (Layer 3)
- Throw - Transport (Layer 4)
- Sausage - Session (Layer 5)

Use associations. Here is an example.
Look around the room you are sitting in right now. Slowly turn counterclockwise and pick out 7 items...i.e....computer,lamp,shelf, etc. Associate each item with an OSI layer. Computer=Application, lamp=Presentation, etc.
Next time you are away from the room, picture it in your head. Then as you visualize the items in the room, associate them with the layers.
Also, make up a silly story. It doesn't have to make sense at all!! Example:
The other day, I saw a physical data-link, network a transport session, while presenting an application?!?Geek Chic! http://www.wegeek.com -
