Why do they call it "router on a stick"?
I get the concept but I don't understand where the "stick" comes in.
Thanks for enlightening me, a search didn't reveal much...Drew

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModIt's called a "router on a stick" because when you look at a network diagram of a router with a single cable plugged into it, it kind of looks like a lollipop. Other foods that come on a stick are usually called something like "corn on a stick", "apple on a stick", "soup on a stick" (I kid you not), so it's natural that the lollipop-looking router would be called a router on a stick.

All those sub interfaces created a lot of heat!An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
