DHCP question

So, right now my home network is setup with a wireless router providing IP addresses for all the clients. If I configure my Server 2003 to be the DHCP server, will all my computers look at the server for DHCP settings? What would take precendence and why...the router or the server?
Second question:
If Server 2003 is now handling DHCP, would I be able to configure the router with one static IP address, which will be assigned to the Server and still have internet/network connectivity with the other clients?

You can put a static IP on the server, shutdown the DHCP on the router, and still have internet connectivity as long as the server 2003 DHCP is handing out the correct default gateway and a valid DNS server.Jumping on the IT blogging band wagon -- http://www.jefferyland.com/ -
