My sister and I brought a surround sound system some years ago and put it in our just finished enclosed porch. Things were good, we watched movies in all their glory, but due to no audio out couldn't watch regular tv. Well eventually the surround sound stopped working and we didn't know why. We got a new 52" tv so put that in the living room and put the 32" flat panel with audio out in the enclosed porch. My dad says to me the other day how nice it would be to use the surround sound, to which I responded that since the 32" had audio out we would watch regular television with surround sound. He talked about having Geek Squad come out and take a look. So today I was looking at it, turned it on, and hit one of the two mute buttons and it popped right on! Now have glorious surround sound! And I found out my dvd player (it's at least 5 years old) has component output so I was able to hook that up to the tv. Nice to finely have something workout since the job hunt isn't....
