Odom ICND2 - tell me it gets better!

Ok - I just finished Ch1 and Ch2 in Odom's ICND2 book. None of it is rocket science but it seems super dry and boring to me. I'll admit it, subnetting is fun but STP bores me to tears.
Odom has a knack for overkill!
In looking at the rest of the book (routing, more subnetting, etc. etc.) it looks like it gets better.
Somebody please confirm it for me. The first two chapters are dry......
Thanks,
Drew

luke_bibby Member Posts: 162I thought the first 2 chapters was a touch dry as well, but the remainder of the books seems to be a little more succinct and interesting. From memory, the first 2 chapters of ICND2 was about 1/5th of the whole 17 chapter book :P
Maybe read Lammle's book if you wan't to try and pick out the important bits in regards to VLANs/trunking/STP. -

I can feel my brain starting to turn to liquid...here's hoping the rest moves a little faster!
