Loading CME on 2620xm

I've got IP phones 7910 and 7940 in my lab. I'm trying to load cme on my router but there's no enough space. I've got 48mb of flash and 256mb Dram and c2600-ipvoicek9-mz.124-23.bin loaded. CME full is about 64mb and basic is about 30mb.I have about 25mb left on the router. What can be done to load the files for just 7910 and 7940 phones? Please help me out.

Here are the files needed for the 7940

    P00308000500.loads
    P00308000500.bin
    P00308000500.sb2
    P00308000500.sbn

All my CME has in its flash is those files and the IOS and vlan.dat file. There are some rings tones I will eventually add, but I wanted the minium for starters.

The 7910 files should be P00405000700.loads, .bin, .sb2, .sbn

I think you can squeeze those 8 files in and stay under 48MB

    Good luck with it.

Hey there math, PM replied but thought I would post here as well. The trick is to trim out all the phone loads for phones you don't have. I loaded the 8 files for my 7941 and 7961, and the GUI and MOH files. You can untar the CME packages off on a PC and custom build a tar file with just the CME files you will need, then 'archive tar /xtract' it into flash like you normally would.

    Good luck! icon_thumright.gif

You can also boot the IOS from a T_FTP server – this will free up all of the flash for GUI, phone loads, MOH, and so on.

boot system t_ftp [IOS filename] [t_ftp server ip address]
    CCNP:Collaboration, CCNP:R&S, CCNA:S, CCNA:V, CCNA, CCENT

That is a fantastic idea Pit! I have done that quite a few times when I have enough ram but not enough flash for an enterprise image....naturally it makes sense to extend it to CME, but it hadn't occurred to me to use tfteepee boot to free up flash for CME files!

Added to my bag of tricks.....icon_thumright.gif

Thanks for all your replies, sorted, booting from a t.f.t.p server to free up flash makes a lot of sense!!! Cme and tar files loaded, why is it that i only have only 2 default ringtones on all my fones? I now have four 7940 and one 7910, when i press the internet button on 7940 there is a response on the display that says host not found. Any ideas on how i can deal with these issues?
