Accesss filtered sites

Hi

Someone told me other day that there is a website you can go on that will allow access to any filtered websites, my web in work is insanely filtered it borders on ****

Any help would be great

You're probably thinking of a proxy server. Basically, you connect to the server and it does the web browsing, you just see the results. Most popular proxy sites will be blocked by the same filtering software that blocks your websites.

What meadIT said. A warning though, the admin won't like you circumventing the filtering.

I want to also add, that it may only temporarily work. As the filtering server receives updates, that proxy site may be blacklisted. I would advice against going to a proxy site... Once it it blacklisted, you will be filtered out and probably caught.

I know I have instant email notifications sent to me if someone in my organization goes to certain sites even once. I also check every once in a while for any uncategorized websites that people have been hitting on a regular basis. It's not worth losing your job over.
