After reading some of the WAN chapters in the ICND1 book, Im wondering how many enterprises actually physically connect a Serial interface to a CSU/DSU? Is this a common thing? Or do lots of people buy a WIC-1DSU card and terminate the telco's 2 pair cable on the border router?
Also, I think at work I think we have an MPLS service for our WAN, so does the acces link to the CO (CSU/DSUs, Serial interfaces etc) still work the same as it does with Frame Relay?
Thanks for the help

jason_lunde Member Posts: 567I have only seen one instance where the "serial" cable was still in use and that was with an older banking organization. Most instances that i have come accross always include the dsu integrated wic cards.
