Going to start working on my CCNP. Need help deciding what I need to pick up.
Routers

1. Do I need any other routers like a 3640, or can I get by with what I have?
2. Suggestions on the topology I should use.
3. I'm thinking about getting 2 more switches, should three be enough? Would 2 more 2950s be OK, or would I need to get a 3550?
4.The 2950 I have says enterprise image. For the 2950's do I need all to have Enhanced image or just 1. If I get a 3550 what will I not be able to do with the Standard image.

Which exam are you starting with? You can hold off on the 3550 until you begin your BCMSN studies. -

Then you might want to add that 3640. I'd go with a 32MB flash model so that you can run the 12.4 IOS. Keep in mind that it may or may not have any cards in it. The base model only has an aux and a console port.
No need to rush out and get one though as I would think that you can get a good start on your studies just with the equipment you have. Wait for a good deal before you buy.
