2008 Server Core question

Not directly cert-related, so I'm posting it here.

Does anyone know what the licensing's like for 2008 Server Core? I initially got the impression that M$ is not charging for the product, but I want to be sure before I activate my test copy.
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

It's licensed just as a traditional installation of Standard, Enterprise, or Datacenter is - you just have the option of selecting a standard installation of a core installation upon install. If you purchase a Server 2008 Standard license, you can elect to install a core installation of standard GUI based install.

Hm? Licensing is the same as the full-blown version AFAIK.

Maybe you were doing some reading about Server 2008 features and stumbled across Hyper-V Server 2008. The bare metal install of Hyper-V Server 2008 (rather than Server 2008 with the Hyper-V role installed) is offered free of charge.
