I have a machine which is running 2000 and XP, and I would like to remove XP and make it boot to 2000.
Where I'm stuck is that I can not enter XP after choosing XP to load from the list, and I can not find boot.ini under C:\WINNT for Windows 2000. And yes I have already cleared "Hide protected operating system files", and selected "Show hidden files and folders"
Can anyone give me any tips or suggestions on solving this?

To change the default to any one, on YOUR system boot.ini, copy the line BEFORE the ' ="Micro... ' and place it after the ' Default= ' and you will always boot there. Then using 2000, eliminate the XP stuff by deleting the directories.
[Boot Loader]
timeout=10
Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINNT
[Operating Systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect
C:\="Microsoft Windows 98"
