Were you audited before getting the certification?

We've all heard that ISC 2 randomly audits certain candidates.
But how many of you had your work experience audited before getting your certification?

You mean people who've had the (ISC)2 call the work places listed on their resume to verify employment and work experience? That'd be really tough to do with me because so many of the places I've worked are either no longer in business or have had such a high turnover that no one now knows who I was or what I did.

Yeah, I've got the same issue, I've worked with consultancy and a lot of projects were for third parties that may or may not exist.
And if they were to call and they didn't exist, would that screw up my chances and stain my profile?

So, as far as you know, you weren't audited?

You are not told if you aren't audited. I've had my submitted CPEs audited, and I was officially informed of the audit and asked to submit proof of authenticity of the event that I was claiming. If your resume can't be adequately verified in an audit, you might be asked to submit further references.
