My Domain Controller/DNS server thinks one of the machines on my subnet is 10.10.10.2, but i changed it to .12
Server1: DNS/DC server (10.10.10.10)
Server 2: Other server (10.10.10.12)
Server 1: ping server1 (10.10.10.2) <--resolves old IP
no response, naturally
-flushed arp
-flushed dns
checked dns console and forward lookup zone for server 2 is correct(10.10.10.12)
i can communicate with all other machines on the network
Server 2: ping server1 (10.10.10.1) <---this is the gateway
replies fine
- flushed arp
- flushed dns, registered
i can communicate with all other machines on the network
i left the domain, and rejoined fine, problem persists
any ideas?

Does nslookup confirm that the DNS server you're querying is the one you're expecting?Help eradicate blood cancers with a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
