MCSA / MCSE on Windows 2003 General
anyone know when Microsoft will retire the 2003 cert exams?

I was wondering if anyone has heard or has an educated guess to when Microsoft will retire the windows 2003 cert track exams. I am close to getting my MCSE and want to make sure they are not getting retired anytime soon. Thanks.

It won't be happening for some time. You also have to remember that your MCSE certification won't go away even if they retire the exams, they won't start retiring certs from people's records until the MCITP and MCTS generation of exams start retiring. Considering that the Windows 2000 exams retired as late as last year, I'm fairly certain that the 2003 exam will hold strong for quite a while.

I was figuring that I should be safe until at least 2011. The windows 2000 certs retired 8 years after they were released. I figured 2011 would be 8 years after the 2003 certs were released so I am hoping for at least 2 more years. I plan to get my MCSE long before 2 years, but things come up. Thanks.
