Pay for ICND1 or take 640-802 for free?

I recently finished a short CCNA course and was given a voucher for the 640-802 exam.
I am unsure about my knowledge, and was thinking about just focusing on ICND1 and then taking ICND2 after I pass it. Vue won't accept the voucher for the 640-822 exam and they say that it can only be used for the 640-802.
So should I take pay for ICND 1 and take the test in a couple weeks, or should I just study a month or so more and prep for the 640-802 exam? This is my first encounter with subnetting and Cisco devices, so I can't rely on any prior practical experience.
Also, is there any way to sell the voucher even at a big discount just so I can have money to put towards the ICND1 and 2? I couldn't find anyone selling them on ebay.
