Critique my exam prep plan

I wanted to get some feedback from you guys.

I'm preparing for three certification exams concurrently: CCNA, 70-290 (MS Server 2003) and 70-270 (WinXP). I plan to study all three for 3 months and then spend two months to study each separately to sit for the exams. Just trying to pretend I'm at university and have three courses where I go to classes for 3-4 months and then prepare for the exams.

I'm not new to the stuff and have previously studied and have experience on server and XP and also have some router experience.

Any feedback would be appreciated :)

I don't think planning to be a perp is ever a good idea. But an exam to become a perp sounds intruiging... icon_lol.gif

I personally would separate CCNA out from the MS exams. Whichever you do first, that's up to you. Probably CCNA would be better to do first because some of the topics in CCNA are needed to be able to pass the MCSE exams.
    Good luck to all!

some will advise you to stick to one topic at a time, but it's really up to you and how you learn best. If you're already familiar with the topics, then it's probably not a big deal to prep for multiple tests at once. I prepared for Windows 7 Beta & 290 at the same time and it was a bit hard, but not impossible.

I say go for the pretend-university thing and make yourself a study schedule as if you were in class. Draw up your syllabus and class schedule and set aside time multiple times a week to "go to class." It will really help keep you on target.
Currently Studying For: Nothing (cert-wise, anyway)
    Next Up: Security+, 291?

Enrolled in Masters program: CS 2011 expected completion
