Converting MP4 to WMV or AVI

The boss decided to be creative and made some videos from his cell phone that he wants to convert from MP4 to a format that could eventually be used in a website. There are 3 videos that also need to be compressed and combined into one if possible.

If anyone has some suggestions on software, I would appreciate it.

    Maybe VirtualDub or Super if you're looking for something for free. I recently bought a couple of things from Xilisoft for converting things to my iPhone.
