mapping drives!

Excuse my lack of logic, i am having a brain freeze moment!! Tried mapping a drive for a user and noticed that he had a list of workstations available but no servers, i manually connected the drive in the end but it`s bugging me now, why could`nt i see the list of servers?

depends how your network is configured.
for example i can only see from a scan pc's on my current vlan, i cannot broadcast accross vlans (unfortunately).

I presume you mean looking in "my network places"?
