Help with inconsistent study material!

Hello everyone,

As many of you know I am getting ready to take my Net+ on July 13th. I almost have everything memorized except the cable length area. Remembering the length of Single vs. Multi-Mode is giving me a little bit of trouble. Now I am having a problem of inconsitency with the study material of all things. THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW!

Anyhow, I am using ExamCram2, Thomson, and of course TechExams. Here is the confusion I am finding....

100BaseFX = ExamCram2 is saying 10,000 Meters Thomson is saying 2000 Meters

1000Base-T = ExamCram2 is saying 75 Meters Thomson is saying 100

Most always...anything ending with "T" (Twisted Pair) is 100 meters

FX depends on if it's full duplex or half duplex among other variations...

I thought the same thing about twisted pair. I couldn't figure out why it would be different in book from the other.

I still don't understand why the books would be showing such a great difference for 100Base-FX though.

Please, anyone out there know?

2000 meters is correct.

Look at the cable length for the adapter:
